WordPress themes contest

This is pure "hatemail" post into my overall polite blog, but i'm on the edge after browsing WP site for ages. There you go, a contest: how on earth can you find WordPress templates at its official site?
Don't bother, the answer: anyhow, but easy.

Everybody know, that design templates and their quantity is one of the main reasons people love and spread the word about open source CMS, but this time Matt has pissed me off and i give him the award for most user un-friendly site of November :)

See for yourself, visit WordPress, find many links to download, extend, etc. - anything but themes! The only thing you get is crappy collection of some ten templates under different domain that you find via search option on WP site (thank God they had search..).

Shame, such a cool site has such a dumb (non)feature. Or is it me so dumb not finding templates maximum three clicks away from homepage?.. :) I know there's Google outthere and brilliant idea of WP themes marketplace coming, but 'cmon..

Google PageRank update

Yes, it's happening! My site now shows PR 3. From zero to 3, not bad.
My other sites also have changed, some have dropped, others have gained.

What's interesting, that my blog-based sites have gotten the best pagerank updates.
And the ones that have lost it were not updated for a long time, like couple of times a year. Yeah, i know, it's almost like a dead site (and Google knows it too).

This add-on for Thunderbird is must have if you hate too many software hanging on your taskbar.
Go to Thunderbird Add-ons official page for "MinimizeToTray" extension, and right click on the green button "Install Now", choose "save link as", save this plugin to your PC. Then in Thunderbird open "Tools" - "Add ons" - click "Install" and browse where you saved tray plugin - install it, close Thunderbird and open it again. Voila, now it's working :)

These two are worth trying.
ModEX is going to be a hit if the development continues and community keeps involving. The best feature it has it is easy editing mode of any content via AJAX interface.

Plone is a monster that has many features. The adding of new content like pages and articles was very easy and intuitive. The main reason you should not start with this software is
that it requires a lot of resources from hosting machine (in other words, you need dedicated hosting to run it the best possible way).

Well, i hope this gives you some ideas where to start and it definitely shows you that you can start e-business only with 20 bucks - 10 for the domain, and 10 for the hosting!

How to burn UIF file into disc

To burn UIF file, use a software called MagicISO, it's small, fast, and does what it says - burns them files with weird extension .UIF (like the ones you have downloaded from torrents) ;)

UIF is for "Universal Image Format", a powerful compression image file format to backup CDs and DVDs.

P.S. Trying to burn .UIF file with NERO did not work.
