Thunderbird MinimizeToTray plugin
Minimize your Thunderbird to system tray only!
This add-on for Thunderbird is must have if you hate too many software hanging on your taskbar.
Go to Thunderbird Add-ons official page for "MinimizeToTray" extension, and right click on the green button "Install Now", choose "save link as", save this plugin to your PC. Then in Thunderbird open "Tools" - "Add ons" - click "Install" and browse where you saved tray plugin - install it, close Thunderbird and open it again. Voila, now it's working :)

finally, ive been using it (TB) without this plugin and boy i find it uncomfortable thing to do, hope to get rid of it from taskbar and place to tray instead :D
unfortunately i've replaced @ my work machine TB with Outlook - TB can't handle some stuff with networked XP..
